These terms govern the use of the app Biblia Reina Valera: Versículo (the “app”). By downloading or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
1. What the app is
The app offers a daily Bible habit: one verse, one reflection, and one personalized prayer each day, together with a streak that records your consistency, a history of your readings, local reminders, a widget, and tools for sharing verse cards. The devotional content is included in the app and works offline; purchases, optional analytics, crash diagnostics, and the iCloud backup work as described in our Privacy Policy.
The app does not require an account or registration.
2. Relationship to Apple’s terms
The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store, and its use is also subject to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. With respect to the mechanics of purchase, billing, refunds, and subscription management, Apple’s terms and processes apply. These terms supplement — they do not replace — that agreement.
3. Subscriptions
- The app operates on a subscription basis. Access to the content and features requires an active subscription; there is no permanent free version.
- Available plans: an annual subscription (which may include a 3-day free trial when the store displays one) and a weekly subscription. The exact price, currency, duration, and whether or not a free trial is offered are always those the App Store shows you at the time of purchase, in your local currency.
- Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, and the charge is made to your Apple account, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Free trial: if your plan includes a free trial and you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription activates and is charged automatically. Any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Cancellation and management: you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the subscription settings of your Apple account (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds: payments are processed by Apple, and refund requests are handled through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com), in accordance with its policies.
- Restoring purchases: if you reinstall the app or switch devices, you can restore your purchase with the “Restore purchases” option using the same Apple account.
4. License to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these terms and the App Store rules. This license is for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not: copy, modify, distribute, sell, or rent the app or its content; reverse engineer it except to the extent expressly permitted by law; use the app for unlawful purposes; or circumvent its purchase or access mechanisms.
5. Content and intellectual property
- Bible text: the app uses public domain Bible translations. Español: Reina-Valera (1909). English: World English Bible, British Edition. Português: Almeida (ed. 1911). Română: Nitzulescu (1909). Italiano: Riveduta (Luzzi, 1927). Polski: Biblia Gdańska (1632, rev. 1881).
- Original content: the reflections, prayers, in-app texts, design, illustrations, and shareable cards are original works protected by the provider’s copyright (© Christian Ali Kuri Martinez). You may share the cards the app generates for personal, non-commercial use; that is precisely what they are for.
- Third-party trademarks and names (Apple, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) belong to their respective owners.
6. Devotional use; no professional advice
The app offers devotional content and spiritual accompaniment for inspirational purposes. It does not constitute medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, nor does it replace the guidance of your faith community, its ministers, or qualified professionals. If you are going through a physical or mental health crisis, seek professional help or call your country’s emergency services.
7. Availability and disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep it running reliably and to make sure your streak is never lost — including a backup in your iCloud — but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, the complete absence of errors, or the operation of third-party services (App Store, iCloud, social networks you share to). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement are disclaimed.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the provider shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app. In any event, the provider’s total aggregate liability to you shall be limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that your country’s consumer protection legislation grants you and that cannot be waived.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device (remember to cancel the subscription first if you do not want further renewals). We may suspend or terminate your license to use the app if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive termination.
10. Changes to the app and to these terms
We may update the app (adding, modifying, or removing features) and these terms. If we make material changes to the terms, we will publish the updated version at https://velitadiaria.com with a new effective date and, when the change is significant, we will call attention to it within the app. Continued use of the app after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you reside, which will continue to apply to you. Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law.
